Our August Yard of the Month winner is David and Kay Carlyle. They will have lived here 40 years this December! They loved the greenness of The Woodlands the first time they drove through it in October 1977. Much of the yard is native plants and groves of trees, big cast iron plants with red flowers and orange and yellow lantana. The combination of shady and sunny plants creates a lovely natural retreat. They also added river rock to the landscape to help control and direct runoff from their landscape. To "thwart pesky rabbits," their plants are low on a rabbit's desired menu.
GMVA Mission
To serve as a liaison to the residents of Grogan's Mill Village and The Woodlands Township and other governmental entities for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Village of Grogan's Mill. Establish communication through proactive leadership.
