Ironman Texas this Saturday, April 28

Please see Traffic Impact Notice for the upcoming Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas on April 28

Three significant changes for the 2018 event:

  • Due to early voting for the Montgomery County elections , the  South County Community Building at 2235 Lake Robbins Dr, next to Town Green Park, will be a polling location.  Access to the building will remain open as the race route has been altered to provide entry and exit to the parking lot.

  • The turnaround location on the bike course on Woodlands Parkway has been moved east to the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and Gosling, instead of the Woodlands Parkway and Cochran’s Crossing/John Cooper School Dr. intersection where it was last year.   This change opens the Woodlands Parkway/ Gosling intersection to through traffic.

  • The bike course south bound on Grogan’s Mill, leaving the Woodlands in the morning,  has been moved to the inside lane instead of the outside lane to provide residents of the N. MIllbend/Crossvine area and visitors/employees of the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center and golf course the ability to turn right (south) onto  Grogan’s Mill without delay. Vehicles can then travel to S. MIllbend to turn right and detour to destinations north, east or west.

Local Schools Benefit from Volunteer Hours

The Grogan's Mill Village Association recently donated $1,000 each to the feeder schools within the village: Hailey Elementary, Lamar Elementary, Wilkerson Intermediate and Knox Junior High.
The village association is able to benefit our schools through money earned from volunteer hours and profit from The Woodlands Farmer's Market.
