Why Join a Village Association Board
The Woodlands is comprised of eight villages: Grogan’s Mill, Panther Creek, Indian Springs, Cochran’s Crossing, Alden Bridge, Sterling Ridge, College Park, and Creekside Park. Each village has its own village association and each resident becomes a member of their village’s association.
The village associations are 501c(4) nonprofit organizations with a board elected by the village residents. Each village association has its own set of bylaws, each holds monthly meetings open to residents, and each plan projects that benefit the community.
The primary function of the associations is to IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN EACH COMMUNITY. THEY serve as a liaison between the residents of the villages and various local, county, and state governing bodies. The associations represent membership in important community issues and at times prepare and adopt resolutions. The association board directs residents to the appropriate channel for question and issue resolution. Residents always have an opportunity to comment or ask questions at any monthly board meeting they attend.
The village associations work hard to serve the residents of the village. Please attend the board’s monthly meetings and consider submitting an application in late December or early January to join your village’s board and get more involved in the community, stay informed, and meet your neighbors at events!
The Township conducts the elections for the associations every year. Filing forms can be found on the Township web site in January, the election is in February and the new board seated in March.

Take the WaterWise Challenge
Take the WaterWise Challenge and help our village earn money for scholarships. Warm weather turf grasses, such as St. Augustine naturally goes dormant during the winter. Allowing the grass to brown during the cool months results in healthier lawns with less disease in the spring. You can log your pledge online at The Woodlands Township website.
