Regional Flood Planning Group
The San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group has approved the Upper Watershed position following several presentations at public meetings. This position gives the residents of Montgomery County, and other counties in the upper part of the San Jacinto basin, a voice in planning flood mitigation. Neil Gaynor, who is a board member of the GMVA, President of MUD 6, and a member of the One Water Task Force, is applying for this position and would appreciate your support. The deadline for submission is May 7, 2021. Please go to the Bulletin Board section of our website for the solicitation notice and nomination form.
You can fill out the nomination form to support Neil Gaynor and email that to the following email address: SanJacFldPG@eng.hctx.net. Most of the form is for details related to self-nomination, so it may be easier for folks to send an email of support to the same address without using the form.
We suggest that the following wording be used in the subject line: "SJRFPG Upper Watershed Category Nomination".

The Woodlands Farmer's Market
The market continues to grow with the new hours of 9 AM to 1 PM and the addition of Cottage Law vendors. Live music and food trucks are back with to-go food orders.
The Woodlands Farmers Market announced that Angela Rengel and Sandra Cruz are winners of the February and March Seven Stickers Sweepstakes. Each month The Woodland Farmers Market conducts a drawing to determine the winner.
All month, customers are encouraged to pick up a card at the information tent, then fill it with seven stickers from seven different vendors. They place the card, with the stickers, in a box at the Information tent. There is no obligation to buy from the seven vendors, just visit the tents and request a sticker from them. The last Saturday of the month, a card is drawn and the winner receives $50 in market money that can be use at any vendors booth. The object of the Sweepstakes is to encourage customers to visit different vendors than they normally would. Based on feedback from vendors and winners, the Sweepstakes is a success.
The Woodlands Farmers Market is held every Saturday (exception: the Saturday after Christmas)rain or shine at the Grogan’s Mill Village Center.
The Woodlands Farmers Market was established in 2008 and has over 50 vendors. All profits from The Woodlands Farmers Market support the Grogan’s Mill Village Association’s philanthropic activities (scholarships, school grants, donations to Interfaith, etc.).
