Bond Planning Committee for CISD
Conroe ISD is requesting the participation of students, parents, business owners, community members, and employees for a Bond Planning Committee (BPC) in anticipation of a bond on the November 7, 2023 ballot. The District is experiencing unprecedented growth and seeks the guidance of all stakeholders in assessing the facility and operations needs to address the current capacity needs. Run for the GMVA OR RDRC
Elections for eight seats on the Grogan's Mill Village Association (GMVA) and five on the Residential Design Review Committee (RDRC) will take place on February 19. Filing for the elections must take place by January 20.
The GMVA operates The Woodlands Farmer's Market and will distribute more than $25,000 in grants, gifts, and scholarships in 2023. 15 committees contribute to the community by advising on parks and working with law enforcement. Time commitments vary from a few hours a year to a few a week. Joining the Village Association is a great way to learn about the Woodlands and get to know neighbors.

RDRC members serve in a volunteer capacity and represent the resident viewpoint essential to the evaluation and approval process. The RDRC meets once a month to review property owners' applications for modifications or additions to their properties.

December Yard of the Month Announced
The Anderson Family on Crinkleroot Ct. has won the December Yard of the Month Award. The Anderson Family love to decorate for Christmas. They know it brings such joy and smiles to the children of the community. Ken & Rudi Anderson have lived in their for the last 42 years. Mr. Anderson has worked in The Woodlands since Woodlands Parkway was a dirt road. Congratulations and thank you for making our community a great place to live!

The Woodlands Farmer's Market
Shopping at The Woodlands Farmer's Market is a great way to support local businesses and get your holiday shopping all done in one place. None of the products at the market are stuck on container ships or have supply chain issues, because they are all local.
The last several markets have been bigger than ever with over 70 vendors! You'll be sure to find what you need for the holidays every Saturday.
And check out the businesses in the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center. The UPS Store can help you with all your shipping needs without standing in a long line.
The Woodlands Farmer's Market is open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The market will be closed on December 24 and 31 to let our volunteers and vendors spend time with family and friends, so join us at our last market of the year, this Saturday December 17.

Waste Services Guide During the Holidays
There will be no interruption in curbside trash and recycling services during the Christmas and New Year holidays. All services will occur on their regularly scheduled day including yard trimmings and bulky trash pick-up.
For trouble-free service this holiday season, please keep streets clear of parked cars to allow trucks to safely access carts, place carts at the curb by 7 a.m. and ensure cart lids close completely.
The Woodlands Recycling Center at 5402 Research Forest Drive will be open on Saturday, December 24 and Saturday, December 31. It will be open on Wednesday, December 21 and Wednesday, January 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.
